Zarzoso of Cabadbaran City, Agusan del Norte bested eight other regional
beauties and was crowned the 1s tAliwan Fiesta Digital Queen 2020. The 21-year-old,
magna cum laude graduate of Accounting Technology also won the Netizens’ Choice
Award and Miss Unique Smile.
Zarzoso won a cash prize of P50,000 plus the same amount for her chosen charitable program in her municipality, which is the Protect Feed Save Inc. of the Philippine National Police. Zarzoso is a daughter of high-ranking police officials of the PNP. “This time I would like to honor my parents. This is me slowly giving back to you for all those years of pouring your hearts and souls just to turn me into the woman I am today. Papa and Mama, thank you for always supporting me 101%, I am merely showing the world how great parents both of you are! I promise to make you prouder! I love you both always and forever!” she said in her Facebook.
“I’ve been an active volunteer of Protect, Feed, Save, Inc. for seven years now, and I’ve witnessed how the organization changed the lives of street children for their efforts to encourage them to return to school,” said Zarzoso who had formally turned over the 50 thousand check through Cabadbaran City Mayor Judy Amante.
Jasmine Omay, a 21-year-old, Business Management and Entrepreneurship graduate of Tarlac City, was named First Runner-up and won P25,000 plus the same amount for her chosen charitable program in their municipality, the Ky the Foundation: Tarlac-Cancer Patients. She won the Miss Charm special award.
Alyssa May Nicholls, an 18-year-old, Senior High School student from Isulan, Sultan Kudarat, won 2nd Runner-up and received P15,000 plus the same amount for her charitable program, the Wildlife Preservation of the Province of Sultan Kudarat. The Fil-British beauty won Miss White Rose.
The Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen 2020 pageant, hosted by the Manila Broadcasting Company, was conducted virtually following the cancellation of this year’s Aliwan Fiesta-Grand Festival of Champions and its side event ‘Reyna ng Aliwan’ due to Covid-19. The Coronation Finals was hosted by Nicole Hyala and Chris Tsuper and was aired live via DZRH News TV. By Eton Concepcion
