Former actress and singer Patricia
Javier-Walcher is one of the twenty candidates vying at Respect: Noble Queen of
the Universe 2019, the newest international pageant for married women and
single mothers, which kicked off with the media presentation of the delegates, held
at the Rotary Center, Roces Avenue, Quezon City on Tuesday. The candidates
composed of empowered women of different backgrounds and profession, interestingly,
are mostly Filipinas based in various countries including the USA, Australia
and Russia.
Javier-Walcher, representing
Philippines-Luzon, now a mother of two boys from husband Dr. Rob Walcher III and
Mrs. Russia Anna Rabtsun-Baylosis were voted co-winners of the Darling of the
Press.
“I am happy to be with my new sisters.
My advocacy is beauty and wellness. I feel that this is not a competition. This
is sisterhood, unity and diversity which, I believe, is the key to have a
better community and universe,” said Javier-Walcher as she introduced herself.
“I’m proud to be in a pageant which is
not just about beauty but with a purpose,” said Baylosis, a 34-year-old,
Siberia-born and married to a Filipino from Cavite.
Respect: Noble Queen of the Universe,
which aims to realize the true value of women for them to have greater
participation in social activities where their opinions will be heard and
respected, is a fund-raising activity for projects that would benefits orphans,
indigent families and other less fortunate members of global society. It also
aims to strengthen sisterhood around the world and enjoins married women who
have the heart to help and uplift the condition of communities across diverse
societies. Above all, it empowers women to initiate change in the society
through collaboration and friendship.
The First Edition Noble Queen of the
Universe International Pageant is a project of RESPECT: Noble Queen of the
Universe Ltd. Inc. (NQULI), with its Board of Directors composed of Erilene
Noche-Tumali, Lovely Regine Gervacio Tajan, Emarie Tabernilla and Atty. Jiboy
Cabochan.
