Barangay Ginebra unveils 2018 Limited Edition Ginebra Ako Jersey

Ginebra has moved on after its semis loss in the PBA Commissioner’s All-Filipino Cup with the unveiling of the 2018 Limited Edition Ginebra Ako Jersey.  Ginebra fans will see a new set of jerseys for the upcoming Commissioner’s Cup next month.

Barangay Ginebra’s “Never Say Die” spirit is very much alive. Ginebra Ako” signifies the team’s resilience, determination, and perseverance after 40 years of playing in the PBA.  The jersey changes marked Caguioa's return to No. 47 after donning the No. 13 in the PBA Philippine Cup to pay tribute to longtime teammate and fellow-PBA MVP winner Jayjay Helterbrand who has retired.

LA Tenorio welcomed the newlook Ginebra uniform. “It’s unique. It’s like an All-Star jersey with a retro feel. I feel like a kid having new shoes and you’re excited to use it,” said the 12-year-veteran and 15th player in PBA all-time assist list.

Caguioa and Tenorio, along with Scottie Thompson, Japeth Aguilar and Greg Slaughter were present at the launching of the new look Ginebra uniform. Unlike the throwback Ganado Classics 3-decade jersey collection, the new limited edition kits are a new version, although they have a resemblance to the Gordon’s Gin jerseys in the late 1990s.

New designs embedded on the jersey are the four stars that represent the Gin Kings’ four-decade stay in the pro league, the Ginebra San Miguel Label tag, the Patch of Authenticity with an embroidered signature of coach Tim Cone, and the Never Say Die patch on the back of the jersey.

There are five collectible jersey designs to choose from: Japeth Aguilar’s No. 25, Scottie Thompson’s 6, LA Tenorio’s 5, Greg Slaughter’s 20, and Mark Caguioa’s 47.

To avail of the 2018 Ginebra Ako jersey collection, you have to buy or collect six seals of Ginebra San Miguel or Vino Kulafu; or four camps of GSM Blue or GSM Blue Flavors, Primera Light Brandy, or GSM Premium Gin. Then add P100 to claim your “Ginebra Ako” jersey from any partner redemption outlets nationwide. Promo duration is from April 15 to June 15, 2018.
