Manila girl Sarah
Margarette Joson bested 15 other candidates and bagged the Naitas Face of
Tourism 2017 title during the exciting coronation finals held at the SMX Convention
Center, Mall of Asia, Pasay City on Sunday afternoon. Joson, a graduate of
Bachelor’s degree at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and
presently works a product specialist, earned a trip to China to compete at the
2017 Miss City Tourism International.
Alyssa Joreen
Reyes of Lemery, Batangas, who was named Best in National Costume and Glayzelle
Ramos of Rosario, Batangas finished as 1st and 2nd runner-ups, respectively.
Top 7 semi-finalists include Charmaine Aller of Quezon City, Hazel Ann Reyes of
Valenzuela City, Coralin Resurreccion of Sariaya, Quezon and Kristine dela Peña
of Candelaria, Quezon. Reyes was named Best in Long Gown and Best in Swimwear,
Resurreccion as Miss Congeniality and dela Peña as People’s Choice.
A former SK
chairwoman, the 24-year-old, 5-foot-7, hip hop dancer was earlier named Miss Hannah’s
and Photographers’ Choice. The youngest among four siblings, Joson had
previously joined the Jewel of the Philippines in 2016 and Miss Republic of the
Philippines in 2015. She was also a Top 12 semi-finalist of Miss World
Philippines 2016.
The inaugural Naitas
Face of Tourism 2017 coincided with the 3rd National Association of Independent
Travel Agencies (NAITAS) Travel and Trade Fair promoting outbound and inbound
destinations and allied products and services co-presented by Philippine
Airlines and Chinabank, in partnership with the Department of Tourism, Tourism
Promotions Board, Cebu Pacific and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming
