Nichole Manalo finishes 3rd runner up in Miss Globe 2016

Nichole Manalo missed a back-to-back win at the recent Miss Globe 2016 pageant held in Tirana, Albania. She was announced later by organizers as officially the 3rd runner up in the pageant, together with 4th runner up Natasha Joubert of South Africa after the hosts’ failure to announce them during the live finals.
India’s Dimple Patel succeeded Ann Lorraine Colis of the Philippines with Yenny Carrillo of Colombia and Kristina Skurra of Albania finishing 1st and 2nd runner up, respectively.
“Dreams are meant to be fulfilled. And my dream is more than just winning a crown. It's about giving honor and pride to our country...I believe I just fulfilled mine. And once again, I am happy to say that I am Miss Philippines,” Nichole posted on Instagram.
With her 3rd runner up achievement, the 27-year-old, professional nurse has out-performed her sisters and auntie in the international stage. The youngest daughter of the first Miss Caloocan (1970) Norma Ramos, Nichole bettered her aunt Nini Ramos-Licaros’ semi-finalist at Miss International 1968 and elder sisters Kate’s Top 10 in Miss World 2002 and Bianca’s unplaced in Miss Universe 2009.
Congratulations Nichole, you have made your late father Rodrigo proud. Words by Eton B. Concepcion / Photos courtesy of Binibining Pilipinas official fb and Raymond Saldaña
