The Miss Tourism Philippines 2019 now
on its eighth year, presented to the press thirty-one lovely, talented and
intelligent candidates selected from across the country, held at Venue Hotel,
Makati City on Saturday. The girls,
endorsed by the LGU executives, city mayors and local tourism officers, are
vying for the three titles at stake, namely, Miss Tourism Queen Worldwide, Miss
Tourism Universe and Miss Tourism World.
Miss Tourism Philippines (MTP) Inc., headed
by Amelia Sunio-Abarquez, president and CEO, partners with the local government
to achieve its objective to promote tourism thru beauty, arts and culture, in
response to the government’s call for the promotion of tourism and the arts
among Filipinos.
The candidates were paraded in
swimsuits Voted Darling of the Press was Stephanie Mae Angelica Montes of
Aurora province while Elena Marie Cabaltican of Isabela was named Miss Body
Beautiful.
The MTP 2019, aside from looking for
beautiful, talented and physically fit women, will also collaborate with a
television travel show to be aired weekly featuring different tourist spots, favorite
local delicacies and celebrities. The Grand Coronation Night will be held on
July 28, 2019 in the province of Aurora. (By
