Valenzuelan lass wins as Miss Teen Tourism PH 2019



          Statuesque Kira Eowyn Manansala of Valenzuela City was crowned the first Miss Teen Tourism Philippines at the coronation night held at RCBC Plaza Carlos P. Romulo Theater on Sunday night. Manansala, a 15-year-old, 5’8 ½ teen model of the Professional Models Association of the Philippines, who loves to sing and play the guitar, bested more than thirty teen candidates, to earn the right to represent the country at the inaugural Miss Teen Tourism International pageant on May 31 in Manila.

          Manansala, a dog lover and does oil painting, dreams to become Miss Universe in the future. She has appeared in Mega Magazine for Gucci. Coming from a highly industrialized city, Manansala wants to have a platform on environmental issue, particularly, in controlling manufacture and use of plastic products.

          Roberta Tamondong, an 16-year-old, native of San Pablo, Laguna and Rose Ann Pangilinan, 18-year-old, Miss STI 2017 3rd runner-up, from San Fernando, Pampanga finished as 1st and 2nd runners up, respectively. Ian Mendenueta of Tiwi, Albay; Christine Eds Enero of Candaba, Pampanga; Angela Beras of Muntinlupa City and Noelle Rontas of Legazpi, Albay, rounded out the seven finalists.

          Manansala also won the Best in Talent and Miss Nice Institute of Beauty special awards while Tamondong won Best in Sports Wear. The maiden Miss Teen Tourism Philippines pageant is presented by Borgen Entertainment Ventures, headed by its President Dr. Jumel Bornilla and CEO Manuel Genabe.
