Single mom, favorite in Miss Global Philippines 2018

          The Miss Global Philippines 2018 pageant kicked off with the press presentation of its nineteen official candidates held recently at the Function Hall of West Avenue Suites in Quezon City. The only beauty competition that accepts both single women and single mothers, Miss Global Philippines 2018 looks beyond the candidates’ status, offering them equal opportunity to boost their confidence and empowering them to do more to inspire others.

          “We are proud to mark the 5th year of Miss Global Philippines fielding Filipino women who embrace individuality while promoting the best of the Philippine tourism,” said national pageant director and CEO Pauline Laping. A presentation of PSL Entertainment Production in partnership with Sparks Global Tech System, Inc., the winner of Miss Global Philippines 2018, aside from representing the country in the Miss Global pageant, will serve as ambassadress of various socio-civic including outreach projects, feeding programs and lending support to government-initiated projects on promoting Philippine culture and its world-renown-destinations here and abroad.

          This year’s batch includes Eileen Gonzales, a single mother from Cavite City who was voted Darling of the Press, Filipino-Pakistan beauty Marshy Chaudhry of Guiguinto, Bulacan, Fil-Arab beauty May Adel Ahmed Salman of Aklan and international figure skater Aleckxis Chuidian of Parañaque City.

          The rest of the candidates are Alexandra Moraga (Meycauyan, Bulacan), Patricia Agapito (Caloocan City), Kaycee Dacquil (Tumauini, Isabela), Krizoli Rosete (Novaliches), Sunshine Bantillo (Plaridel, Misamis Occidental), Janella Manuel, a broadcasting student of Letran (Valenzuela City), Aeryka Chu (Binondo Manila), Ziara Estrada (San Mateo, Rizal), Glayzelle Ramos, a De La Salle Lipa graduate (Rosario, Batangas), Cheska Vinas (Marilao Bulacan), Regine Harriet Isorena, a SK Chairman (Catanduanes), Charlene Duran (Laguna), Dyan Shane Mag-abo (Antipolo), Stephanie del Mundo (Pasig City) and Nicole Osuna Dichoso, a graduating architecture student of Olongapo City.

          Reigning Miss Global Philippines 2017 Mary Ann Mungcal will crown her successor on August 4, 2018 during the grand coronation following the After Party with DJ SHOYD and Disco Bandits at the Cove Manila in Parañaque City to be aired on delayed telecast over GMA-7 on August 18, 2018.
