Pilotress named Miss Globe 2017 First Runner-up


Miss Globe 2017 1st Runner-up Nelda Ibe with BPCI Chairwoman Madam Stella Marquez-Araneta and fellow victorious Binibini Queen, Miss Grand International 2017 2nd Runner-up Elizabeth Clenci in the welcome/victory party.

Nelda Ibe was named first runner-up at the recently concluded Miss Globe 2017 pageant held in Tirana, Albania Ibe, a 24-year-old, graduate of Bachelor of Arts in English (Literature) at Tarlac State University, aspires to become a pilot and hopes to continue her training after her reign as Bb. Pilipinas Globe 2017.

Miss Vietnam Do Tran Khanh Ngan was crowned by 2016 Miss Globe Dimple Chetan Patel of India winning over 53 contestants from around the world. Miss Siberia Elena Latypova and Miss Albania Alessia Çoku were named 2nd and 3rd runners up, respectively while Miss Cape Verde Simone Heijligers finished as 4th runner-up.

Ibe placed second runner up in the Miss Bikini competition and was a co-leader in the Internet on-line voting competition, The most voted girl on WebPage, won by Miss Korea. Miss Armenia won as Miss Friendship while Miss Nicaragua won Best in National Costume.

The other special award winners were Kosovo (Miss Photogenic), Turkey (Miss Cosmopolitan), USA (Miss Intercontinental), Gambia (Miss Elegance), Mexico (Miss Tourism Globe), Siberia (Miss Dream Girl of the World), Moldova (Miss Golden Girl), Romania (Miss Disco Queen), Nigeria (Miss Bikini) and South Africa (Miss Talent).

Ibe’ national costume, a Sampaguita flower-inspired Filipiniana, was designed by Frederick Berches while her elegant red evening gown was designed by Paolo Blanco. More than 50 representatives from all over the world participated in the pageant. Last year’s Nichole Manalo placed 3rd runner-up while Ann Colis brought home the crown in 2015.

Love, your #Pilot Beauty Queen and will always be, your Miss Globe 2017 1st runner-up,” Ibe posted on Instagram shortly after the coronation. The Bb Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) led by Mrs. Stella Marquez-Araneta, sent its congratulations to Ibe for finishing as 1st Runner-up at Miss Globe 2017. “Nelda showed grace and elegance befitting a proud Filipina, making her a true inspiration to women all over the world.
