2 Mutya beauties set to compete at Miss Asia Pacific International and Miss Tourism International 2017 pageants

Mutya ng Pilipinas 2017 beauties Ilene Astrid de Vera and Jannie Loudette Alipo-on were given a send-off ceremony recently by the Mutya ng Pilipinas Incorporated (MPI) organization, led by its president, Hemilyn Escudero-Tamayo, held at the CWC Interiors in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

De Vera, a statuesque, 21-year-old, Cebuana model and graduate of BA Mass Communication at University of the Philippines Cebu, will compete against more than 50 delegates from around the world, scheduled to arrive in the country starting on November 10 for the Miss Asia Pacific International 2017 pageant with the grand coronation night set at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, Resorts World Manila on November 29.

Alipo-on, a 25-year-old, Broadcast Journalist from Navotas, will travel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for a 3-week journey with some 60 international beauties competing at the 20th edition of the Miss Tourism International pageant on December 6, 2017.

“I am deeply honored to represent the country at the Miss Asia Pacific International pageant and I can’t wait to welcome my fellow candidates from around the world to come to the Philippines and show them the beauty of our country, especially, my hometown Cebu,” De Vera enthused during the send-off.

“I would like to thank you all for your support. I would do my very best to bring home the Miss Tourism International crown. I hope that my countrymen will pray for me on this quest,” Alipo-on said.

The twin send-off was held simultaneously with the homecoming presscon for Mutya Ng Pilipinas CWC International 2017 and Star Magic talent Sofia Marie-Sibug who finished among the Top 15 finalists at the Miss Global Beauty Queen International 2017 pageant held in Seoul, South Korea.  CWC International is enjoining everyone in the celebration of its 25th anniversary through a month long “Thanksgiving Sale” from November 6 to 29.
