Filipina who is passionate for the preservation and protection of our Marine
Diversity and Resources, empowered to take a stand on Ocean Justice, then you
could be the next Miss Scuba Philippines 2017.
Miss
Scuba Philippines is a pageant, which has a deep-rooted advocacy that is
devoted to protect, preserve and help save our oceans and its biodiversity. It is
distinctive from other beauty pageants because it focuses on the importance of
the preservation and protection of the Philippine Marine resources.
Saving Ocean Through Beauty is
the core principle of the organization. It upholds not only showcasing physical
beauty and the superficiality but also provides the necessity for our
candidates to have a heart for our ocean.
Philippines being an
archipelago -- located at the Apex of the coral triangle is known as the
world’s richest marine biodiversity, and premiere eco-tourist destination.
However, marine conservation and protection remained to be a challenge, as to
this day.
Cindy Madduma, the first
Filipina to win the title of Miss Scuba International in 2015, took the
challenge with a greater responsibility of forging on as Instrument of Change,
a symbol of hope and the voice of the Oceans not only in the Philippines but in
an International community. Recently, she was appointed as the new national
director for Miss Scuba Philippines 2017.
The search is on for
the next Miss Scuba Philippines 2017. Screenings dates and venue will be
announced on the official Facebook Page.
Aspiring candidates must be
single, female by birth, a citizen or permanent resident of the Philippines,
aged between 18 and 28 years old during the International competition, of good
moral character, and is at least 5'5'' height without heels, in good health
condition both mental and physical, and willing to learn Scuba Diving.
