First Mrs. Tourism pageant to be held in October in Manila

Mrs. Tourism, the first Manila-based international pageant exclusive for married women was recently launched to be held from October 17 to 27, 2017 with at least 35 countries around the world competing for the three titles at stake, namely, Mrs. Tourism Universe, Mrs. Tourism International and Mrs. Tourism Earth.

Mrs. Tourism is presented by Mrs. Tourism Universe Foundation, Inc. and Megastar Productions, headed by “Mother of All Pageants” Ovette Ricalde, the country’s first national director for various international pageants for married women, and holder of the franchise for Mrs. Universe, Mrs. World, Mrs. Globe, Mrs. Earth, Mrs. Global International and Mrs. Asia International, among others.

Risa Caldoza-de Leon, a 46-year-old, skin specialist who was included in Rupert Jacinto’s Fabulous 15 Women of 2016 and recently named Mrs. International World 2017 Ambassador, was handpicked as the Philippine representative to the newest international pageant for married women.

The first Mrs. Tourism winner will earn the tag as “The Mother Who Cares for the World” and will become the face and voice of the pageant’s chosen advocacy to fight racial discrimination around the world while promoting her own personal advocacy.

Mrs. Tourism 2017 has received major support from media partners and various stakeholders including internationally acclaimed clinics Asian Dental Care and Zi Institute of Plastic Surgery and Dermaesthetics as launching partners. Words and Photos by Eton B. Concepcion
