Summer is here,
and the heat is on for the official candidates of the 2017 Binibining Pilipinas
search when they were presented to the media at the Monet 2 Ballroom of Novotel
Manila in Araneta Center on Wednesday afternoon.
Thirty nine
gorgeous girls strutted their stuff on the runway in attractive Jeffrey Rogador
swimwear before the admiring eyes of the members of media. Candidate No. 36 Mae
Lanie Chan was reported to be out of the competition.
Not to be
outshine, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach looked stunning in a black jumpsuit as
she gave support to the annual search joining the ladies during the
presentation. “They all look great. It will be hard to decide on who will be
the winners,” Wurtzbach said.
This year’s
batch of hopefuls include local pageant winners, top schools honor graduates,
artists, sports and fashion enthusiasts and other professionals who excel in
their respective fields.
The press
presentation kicked off a busy schedule of activities for the candidates before
the much-awaited Grand Coronation on April 30 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum to
be covered live by ABS-CBN. The traditional Parade of Beauties is set on April
22 while the Preliminary Night and National Costumes Show follow on April 23.

Vying for the
most coveted Bb. Pilipinas-Universe title and five other national titles at
stake, a good number stood out at the press presentation earning them the tag
